Lincoln National Forest Closes |

Fire Closure - Lincoln National Forest - Effective: May 1, 2008, at 8:00 a.m.
Alamogordo, N.M. (April 22, 2008) – As fire danger increases in southeastern New Mexico, Fire Management Officials with the Lincoln National Forest (LNF) will close the forest for public access and use.
The following campgrounds will remain open:
- Silver
- Saddle
- Apache
- Sleepy Grass
- Deerhead
- Pines and Sitting Bull Falls Campgrounds
- The Aspen Group
- Black Bear Group
- Slide Group
- Fir Group
In addition, the Sunspot Astronomy and Visitor’s Center, Sunspot, NM will remain open.
